Service Availability

Last updated: March 2026

arkline is committed to delivering reliable, performant services to our customers. This page describes the infrastructure underpinning the arkline platform, the availability targets we work toward, and the practices we follow to maintain operational resilience.

Infrastructure Overview

Our services are built on industry-leading cloud infrastructure:

Application Hosting

Deployed on Vercel's global edge network. Application code is distributed across multiple regions with automatic failover, ensuring low-latency access worldwide. Vercel provides a 99.99% uptime SLA for Enterprise customers.

Database & Authentication

Powered by Supabase (built on PostgreSQL), providing managed database services with automated backups, point-in-time recovery, and connection pooling. Supabase provides a 99.9% uptime SLA for Enterprise customers.

Payment Processing

Processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment provider. No payment card data is stored on Arkline AI systems.

Data Sources

arkline aggregates data from authoritative government sources including NOAA, NASA FIRMS, USGS, SPC, FEMA, FAA, and NCM (UAE). These upstream feeds are subject to their own availability schedules and maintenance windows.

Availability Target

We target 99.9% monthly availability for our core services (the arkline dashboard and associated APIs). This represents our internal service level objective (SLO) and reflects the reliability standards of our underlying infrastructure.

This target excludes:

  • Scheduled maintenance windows (communicated in advance)
  • Degradation or outages of upstream data providers (NOAA, NASA, USGS, NCM, etc.)
  • Outages caused by third-party infrastructure providers beyond our control
  • Force majeure events
  • Client-side network or browser issues

For Enterprise customers requiring contractual uptime guarantees with service credits, please contact us to discuss a tailored Service Level Agreement.

Compliance & Certifications

arkline is hosted on Vercel and Supabase Team — both SOC 2 Type 2 certified — and inherits the controls of those platforms. Workflow-level access policies (row-level security, scoped API keys) are layered on top.

  • SOC 2 Type 2: Annual audit of security, availability and confidentiality controls (Vercel + Supabase Team).
  • GDPR: EU and UK data subjects covered. DPA available on request. Data-residency options on Enterprise plans.
  • ISO 27001: Hosting layer certified via Vercel — information-security management at the platform level.
  • HIPAA-ready: Business Associate Agreement available via Supabase Team for workflows that touch protected health data.
  • PCI DSS: No payment card data is stored, processed or transmitted by arkline. Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1) handles checkout end-to-end.

Security Practices

We implement the following measures to protect service integrity and customer data:

  • All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2+
  • Postgres and object storage are encrypted at rest (AES-256) on Supabase Team
  • Database connections are encrypted and access-controlled via row-level security policies
  • Authentication is managed through Supabase Auth with email/password and OAuth providers; SSO (SAML / OIDC) available on Enterprise plans
  • API endpoints are protected by scoped authentication tokens and rate limiting
  • Environment secrets are managed through Vercel's encrypted environment variable store
  • Daily automated backups with 7-day point-in-time recovery on the primary database (Supabase Team)

Data Refresh Cadence

arkline data is refreshed on the following schedule:

  • Weather alerts, wildfires, earthquakes, civil unrest: Every 6 hours
  • Forecast predictions (SPC/NWPS): Every 6 hours
  • AI-generated summaries: Every 6 hours
  • FAA airport delays: Every 10 minutes

Data freshness depends on upstream provider availability. During provider outages, the most recent available snapshot is served.

Incident Communication

In the event of a service disruption, we will communicate updates to affected customers via email. For planned maintenance, we will provide advance notice where reasonably practicable.
